Digital Circuits

Our 1st day of Digital Circuits ended really well. Had fun with our teacher.
So we got this assignment:

1.) What is Electronics?
2.) What is an Atom? What are the different components of an Atom? Discuss.
3.) Why unlike particles attract?
4.) Give at least 5 application of electronic circuits? Discuss.

My answers:

1.) Electronics is that branch of science and technology which makes use of the controlled motion of electrons through different media and vaccum. (Taken from wikipedia)

2.) All atoms are made up of three subatomic particles, the proton, neutron and electron

The proton has a +1 charge. It is a fairly heavy particle and resides in the dense nucleus of an atom

The electron has a -1 charge. It is a light particle with a mass ~1/2000 of a proton. It resides in a cloud around the nucleus

The neutron has a 0 charge. It is a heavy particle with a mass about equal to a proton and resides in the nucleus
